My airoplane is an Airbus 320
Airbus is an aircraft manufacturing subsidiary of EADS.
EADS is a European aerospace company. Based in Balgnac in Toulouse, France, and with significant activity across Europe, the company designs, develops, builds, sells and provides technical support after sales of aircraft of the same name. It produces more than half of the world's jet airoplanes.
The series of the A319, A320 and A321 have nearly the same features, one of the differences is the passenger seating layout:
A319 passenger seating layout: 145 seats A320 passenger seating layout: 180 seats A321 passenger seating layout: 220 seats |
My A320 is subsonic, medium-range, civil transport aircraft.
subsonic (or low-speed): the fluid motion is everywhere much slower than the speed of sound through the fluid or gas.
medium-range: Transport aircraft may be classed according to range, as follows:
a. Short-range--Not to exceed 1200 nautical miles at normal cruising conditions (2222 Km).
b. Medium-range--Between 1200 and 3500 nautical miles at normal cruising conditions (2222 and 6482 Km). Medium/short or some times Regional or commuter Range all mean the same thing.
c. Long-range--Exceeds 3500 nautical miles at normal cruising conditions (6482 Km).
civil transport: is one of two major categories of flying, representing all non-military aviation.
Civil aviation includes two major categories:
- Scheduled air transport including all passenger and cargo flights operating on regularly scheduled routes; and
- General aviation (GA), including all other civil flights, private or commercial.
“One of our A320 family aircraft takes off every six seconds somewhere around the world and they have carried more than five billion people, which is a huge achievement,” John Leahy, Airbus chief operating officer, customers, said in a news release. “We are investing at least 100 million euros a year in the A320 Family in order to maintain it as the world’s most modern and fuel efficient aircraft family that will continue to bring people together for the decades to come.”
Airbus has gotten more than 6,500 orders for A320 family airliners and delivered more than 4,300 to approximately 310 customers.
